'Pursue various forms of energy'

Speaking at the valedictory of the International Conference and Trade Show on Renewable Energy on Saturday he said there is no single assurance about any of the renewable technologies, whether it is solar, wind or biomass. So it is better to pursue all the forms of renewable energy sources, till we have solved the major problem of nuclear fusion, he said.

Talking about R and D, he said that it was necessary to study a region, to see whether the power drawn from the area was optimal. He said  “The requirements at the local level are very different in each place. What works in UK or Germany need not suitable for us.”
