JOIN USA sitting Congress MLA has allegedly leaked out the ‘agreed list’ of 63 constituencies to be contested by the national party after the two parties had hammered it out in five excruciating rounds of talks.
To the media’s surprise, even as the DMK party managers are awaiting a formal word from Pradesh Congress President K V Thankkabalu to release the list officially after getting blessings from the high command in New Delhi, several reporters received a long chain of SMS proclaiming the seats earmarked for the party.
Some evening Tamil dailies even went to town with the hallowed list of 63 constituencies given to the Congress. It has also sent heart-burns amidst DMK cadres many of whom feel that their prized seats have been gifted away to the Congress. A cursory reading of the ‘leaked list’ shows that they have taken the bulk of the winnable seats in South and Western parts of Tamil Nadu, besides even getting five seats in Chennai.
