Feel the Noise

Last Updated 08 May 2009, 15:29 IST

‘Feel the Noise’ centres around an aspiring rapper Rob (Omarion Grandberry) who often is engaged in New York city street crimes. To ‘save’ him, his mother packs him off to Puerto Rico to spent time with his long-lost father. There, Rob finds his new love — Reggaeton (a combination Latin and reggae music) and a woman known as CC.

Once confident that he is in love with both, Rob wholeheartedly pursues his dreams of becoming a star.

The revealing and sickly scripted-plot throws Rob in a puddle of greed and betrayal but finally presents him happy ending with a hit performance back in New York City.

Had it not been for executive producer Jenifer Lopez this film is not worth remembering.

Even the music offers no solace.

From the choreography side there are some stunning moves, but the needless cleavages and skin shows make ‘Feel the Noise’ no better than a B-grade movie.

Both the director and Omarion fail to bring out the best in the main character. Their attempts at presenting an “angry young man” willing to do anything to achieve his dreams looks so sloppy.

‘Feel the Noise’ has been rightly titled as a note of caution for you. Have you ever spent money to ‘hear’ some noise in your own backyard?
