Last Updated 23 March 2011, 16:11 IST

This was informed to the media here on Wednesday by vedike president K S Shivaramu.
The branch has been functioning here well since its inception in 2003. However, it’s only due to the vested interest of the few, efforts are being made to shift the branch to another city.

Hindrance

This may prove Hindrance to the contractors and most importantly farmers who will be henceforth, if a decision was made in this regard, forced to shuttle between Bangalore and their respective places. As most of the works undertaken by the nigama covers Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu and Hassan districts, it would be better to retain the office here itself, Shivaramu urged.

Continuing, he smelled the hand of Mahadevaswamy, who is working in the capacity of General Manager (In-charge) at the office of Managing Director of the Nigama in Bangalore.
A complaint has already been lodged against him at the Lokayukta office, as he is indulge in corruption, Shivaramu said.
