Ajeetesh finishes third

 While young Sandhu grabbed enough eyeballs with his brilliant play, the star of the day Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat, who birdied the last hole and pocket his maiden Asian Tour title. Kiradech returned with a four-under 68 for a four-day total of 16-under 272 to edge out Siddikur by one stroke. Sandhu shot 70 to total 274.

Overall, Indians had a great week with 10 players finishing within top-20, including Sandhu (third), Manav Jaini (fourth), Anirban Lahiri (sixth), Jyoti Randhawa (seventh), Gaganjeet Bhullar and Rashid Khan (tied 12th), Shamim Khan and Rahil Gangjee (tied 16th) and Digvijay Singh and Raju Ali (tied 20th).
