Headcount of beggars soon

The Central Relief Committee has planned to conduct a survey of beggars across the State.
After visiting the destitutes’ rehabilitation centre at Pacchanandy here on Sunday, K A Ramalingappa, the State president of the Committee, said the proposal would be submitted at a meeting of the Central Relief Committee Board on March 30.

He said a pilot survey would be carried out by the Hampi University in Hospet taluk, Bellary district.

The Committee would launch a website with complete details on the beggars at the Beggars Rehabilitation Centre in Bangalore soon. It would provide complete details on the beggars with their photo and thumb impression.
