While the bus was on its way from Belgaum to Bangalore, the lorry was coming from Tamil Nadu.
The deceased are bus driver M M Yaragatti of Belgaum, lorry driver Manickyam of Pondicherry and assistant driver Srinivasan. Chandrappa, the assistant driver of the bus was seriously injured in the accident.
The injured have been admitted to the Chigateri hospital. Traffic (north) police have registered a case.
