For the largest part, fruit consists of water just like the human body does; fruits are 100% bad-cholesterol free; fruits stimulate memory; fruits have a miraculous healing effect both on the mind and body; fruits are rich in fibers; fruit is the most natural food; they say break your fast with a fruit/fruit juice!

A welcome guest in every home, it is also important to know how and when to consume fruit. The benefits are much more if we keep a few tips in mind! Fruits perform their best on an empty stomach. They not only play a major role in detoxifying your system, but supply you with a great deal of energy and also prevent hair from graying, balding, nervous outbursts, acidity and dark circles under the eyes. Another important aspect to keep in mind, buy fruits which are in season!

A banana usually played the role of a desert after a meal, so why eat fruit on an empty stomach? Fruits digest very fast. So when a banana is eaten with a meal, it is unable to make its way soon enough to the intestines. In the meantime, the food eaten begins to ferment and turns acidic. The fruit then has no option but go along with the long digestive process with the digestive juices. No wonder we often hear comments like a watermelon makes me burp or a durian causes gas or oranges and limes cause acidity!

The fruit isn’t the cause, but the way it is consumed is!

Eating a fruit whole is better than making a juice out of it. With the whole fruit, come the vitamins and the roughage, which has a great role in scraping the walls of the intestines. Going on a three-day fruit diet can do wonders to your body!
