'Decision on sunken ship today'

A meeting of Coast Guard, District Administration and the representatives of owners of the ship P & G Marine Company Limited of South Korea and the Salvage Company Smith and Company was convened by Coast Guard Karnataka Commandant Padam Shekhar Jha at the Coast Guard Headqurters here on Tuesday. Jha told Deccan Herald that another round of meeting will be held on Wednesday to take a final decision. He confirmed that the ship, which sunk about 6 nautical miles off the Mangalore Coast on July 18, is still intact at the same place where it was sunk. He said that Coast Guard aircraft is conducting surveillance sorties and the Coast Guard ships were also keeping a vigil on the area where ship was sunk.
