CWC chairperson acting as Bajrang Dal agent, alleges MLA

Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, he alleged that Bajrang Dal activists had trespassed into the Youth Social Service Charitable Trust and had levelled false allegations against Pinto. The DCC delegation had met Deputy Commissioner and City Police Commissioner on Friday. If the authorities fail to initiate action against the culprits, then the DCC will stage protest.

“If the parents of the children had given complaints against the illegal detention and child trafficking in the Trust, then the police or the CWC should have acted. However, what was the need for Bajrang Dal activist Srikar Prabhu and MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik to tresspass into the Trust property and level allegations against the Trust?” he asked.

He alleged that the Bajrang Dal is trying to affect communal harmony in the society through such activities and are trying to get political mileage from it. They are also trying to create insecurity in the society, he added.

“Bajrang Dal activists who were present along with the CMC Chairperson during the raid had several criminal charges against them. The police should initiate action against the real culprits and not against those who are honestly involved in social service” Rai said and added “why the CWC is targetting the ashrams run by one particular community when there are several orphanages run by other community members.”

MLA U T Khader said “CWC Chairperson Asha Nayak is acting as the agent of Bajrang Dal. She should tender resignation as she is not fit to be the chairperson. If she had concern towards orphanages and children, she should pay visit to all the ashrams as soon as she took charge.”
