This was the fifth edition of the trade show and an attempt to identify the companies who have rendered eminent services to the jewellery industry.

The exhibition, which was a business-to-business trade show, was on for three days and was perfectly timed to be held before Akshaya Tritiya. Along with this, there was a fashion show and an extravagant dinner organised for the participants of the event.

The show had over 120 stalls from across India and also overseas. Of the many exhibitors, there were R M Jewellery, Silver Emporium from Mumbai, Raia Jewellers, the 1869 guild, Krizz Jewellers and others.

These stalls had a glittering display of gold and diamond jewellery, colour-stone jewellery, silver jewellery, loose stones, machinery and allied products and also provided technology-related services like certification labs and assessing centres.

The idea behind this event was to provide a perfect platform for all the stakeholders in the industry. Bangalore, being one of the top three retail destinations in India, was considered an ideal location by the organisers of the show.

The show brought together the people in the industry and also the key elements of the jewellery industry like contemporary and evolving designs and related technology. It was an ideal platform for both exhibitors and visitors and also helped the businessmen make new trade connections, tie-ups and partnerships with the various entities.

Apart from these, an awards’ night was organised with multiple award categories to recognise and reward stalwarts from the Karnataka jewellery industry. Of the various categories, a few were awards for the Highest VAT Payer which was won by Mahendran, award for the three largest exporters in the State — won by Suraj Diamonds and Jewellery, Ratan Jain Jewellers and Rajesh Exports.

The best Jewellery Design in the temple collection and Best Diamond Jewellery Design Award were won by P Mangatram and Titan Industries respectively. Apart from these, there was an award for the Best Institute for Jewellery Design which was won by Manipal Institute of Jewellery Design and JSS Polytechnic College for the Disabled.

In addition to this, a fashion show was also organised. This showcased innovative jewellery designs by various jewellery brands and apparels that were based on the Mysore tradition. The three sequences of the show were choreographed by Rahul Dev Shetty. The fashion show was a big hit and proved to be the perfect end for the event.
