Keshav spell in vain as Malleswaram draw Jupiter

Batting first, Malleswaram bore the brunt of MP Keshav’s devastating spell as the Jupiter CA bowler scalped six for 87 runs, reducing their opponents to 241 all out in 50.2 overs in their first stint with the bat. Prashanth Gangadhar (71) was the top scorer for Malleswaram.

Jupiter CA, however, fared much worse in their first essay as they were bowled out for a measly 133 in 47.3 overs. Malleswaram’s Fareed (5/29) and Syed Kashif (3/23) did the bulk of the damage.

Malleswaram rode on Ramesh Ponnuswamy (63 n.o.) and Melu Kranthi Kumar (61 n.o.) to 131 for two in 25 overs in their second essay before the match was adjourned aa draw.
Malleswaram garnered three points for clinching the innings lead while Jupiter CA settled for a point.

In another drawn match, KL Rahul smashed a century as Bangalore United CC (1) dished out a commanding batting display to eke out three points against Sir Syed Cricketers.
Parappa set the the tone for Bangalore United, the bowler’s four for 74 playing a crucial role in dismissing Sir Syed Cricketers for 184 in 44.5 overs. Rahul, then, hit a fine 111 as Bangalore United post a strong reply of 341 for six.
