ABVP to hold stir against corruption today

Addressing news conference, Divisional organising secretary of the ABVP, K Vasanthakumar alleged the cancerous corruption not even left the education sector in the nation.

The universities which must spread the knowledge among students have became a cesspool of corruption centre. The vice -chancellors appointed by the Government indulging in favouritism, nepotism, casteism and corruption.

Infact, some vice -chancellors facing criminal charges on various complaints. He demanded stern action against former vice-chancellor of University of Mysore  Dr J Shashidhar Prasad, Dr Syeda of Viyapur Women’s University, Dr Maheshappa of Visvesaraya Technological University and Prabhakaran of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and others in this connection,he added. He also sought an action against the vice-chancellor of Tumkur University Dr S C Sharma who has been drawing salary of Rs 2.75 lakh per month which is more than the salary of President of India.

Demanding the government to put an end to donation menace which in rampant from kindergarten to professional colleges, he  charged some lectures continues to hold tuition classes even after receiving hefty salary after the implementation of 6th pay commission.
ABVP City Unit President Udayaravi Prakash, Secretary Rakesh, National Executive Committee Member Smitha and others were present.
