Cong assures settling State unit's affairs

Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary Ahmed Patel, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh, Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad and AICC General Secretary (Karnataka in-charge) Madusudan Mistry held a marathon meeting with KPCC president G Parameshwara and Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah here.

Regional balance

After giving a patient hearing to Siddaramaiah, the AICC leaders assured him that the issues raised by him would be set right and the  caste and regional balance would be maintained. Siddaramaiah is learnt to have complained that many of his supporters have not beeen included in the list.

Sources said though there was no proposal to drop any of the office bears, it is learnt that some new names will figure in the additional list which will  be released soon.

Many KPCC leaders, including former Chief Minister Dharam Singh and former minister D K Shivakumar have cautioned the party top brass that contentious issues needed to be resolved at the earliest.
