Meritorious Gowda community students to get scholarships

 
Interested deserving students should send their applications with the copy of marks cards to the Sangha by August 31, he informed.

The Sangha has also decided to felicitate the students of the community who have secured ranks in medical, engineering and post graduate courses, and have brought laurels in sports, arts and culture. Such candidates also should apply to the Sangha within August 31 with proper documents, he said.

The association will be organising various competitions for students  as part of Independence Day. Fancy dress competition (LKG to I std), memorisation competition (2-4 std), general knowledge competition (5-7 std), speech competition on “100 years of Kodagu Gowda Vidya Sangha” (for students of 8-10 std) at the Vidya Sangha auditorium in Madikeri from 10 am on August 16, Joyappa said. Students can enroll their names for these competitions by 9.30 am on the day at the Vidya Sagha office. Students coming from distant parts of the district will be given travel allowance, he informed.

He also requested the students who need admission to the hostel of the Sangha at Jayalakshmipuram in Mysore to contact the manager of the Mysore office.
