Meet to assess elected reps on May 3

Old Taluk offices to have Mini Vidhana Soudha

 The aim of the meeting is to find answers to the expectations of the people of the region from the BJP and to assess how far the elected representatives have been successful in fulfiling their expectations.

Speaking to presspersons here after listening to the woes of the people, he said the meeting will be attended by five MLAs, MP and party leaders. The meeting will chalk out an action plan for fulfiling the aspirations of the people and development works. A detailed report of the meeting will be submitted to the government.

Integrated development

The Minister said that progress review meeting will be held in taluk headquarters in the district. The Karnataka Development Programmes review meeting will be held in the last week of May. He promised to travel across the district to look into the development works. A workshop for all the Panchayat Development Officers will be held in May. The Kadur TMC review meeting will be convened at the earliest, he informed.  

Suresh Kumar said that all the old taluk office will have mini Vidhan Soudha by April 2012.
A sum of Rs 4.50 crore will be utilised for the construction of new taluk offices. In the first phase, about Rs 2.49 crore will be utilised.

The work has already been started by Binyas Kantenk of Bangalore. In the first phase, Tahsildar’s room, court hall, waiting room, hall, computer room, record room, toilets will be constructed.

The first floor will have AC court, sub register office, record room, department of food and civil supplies, revenue inspector’s office. The second floor will house department of social welfare, labour, excise, women and child welfare and sericulture.
