'Encourage children's creativity'

He was speaking after inaugurating the taluk-level sports and Pratibha Puraskar programme, organised by the Taluk Level State Government Employees Association, to felicitate the children of the parents who are government employees and also, of those who are working in other sectors.

The MLA said, education was one of the best gifts parents can give to children. It was that gift which nobody could steal. It was the duty and responsibility of the parents and guardians to ensure that they encouraged the talents and creativity of the children.
Speaking on the occasion, former member of the Taluk Panchayat Uttanuru Shrinivas announced that he would extend his support to the Pratibha Puraskar programme, which will be held next year, by the Government Employees Association.

Vice-President of the Kolar District Government Employees Association Ravichandra, General Secretary K N Manjunath, Taluk Block Congress President G Ramalingareddy, former chairman of the Taluk Land Bank Neelakanthegowda, leaders R S Krishnaiah Shetty, Block Education Officer S V Padmanabhaiah and several others took part in the programme.  Association General Secretary N Jagadeesh welcomed. Treasurer Rajkumar proposed a vote of thanks. A total of 24 students, including SSLC and PUC achievers were felicitated.
