JOIN USPolice, who suspect a suicide pact, are yet to ascertain the reason for Gangadhar (30), a cab driver, and Kavya (25) taking the extreme step. The couple have two daughters.
According to Gangadhar’s father Byrappa, who lives in a house next to his son’s, around 8 pm, Gangadhar brought a chicken dish for his father. On his way home, he met a few of his friends and spoke to them at length. He also spoke to his eldest daughter Mangala (4) who stays with her grand parents.
In the morning, on hearing Divya, their younger granddaughter crying, the grandparents rushed to the out-house and were shocked to see their son and daughter-in-law hanging from the ceiling by the two ends of a saree that was looped through the hook of a ceiling fan. Police are investigating.
