Services drub Karnataka

Last Updated 12 May 2011, 17:03 IST

Playing a strong Services side, Karnataka conceded three quick goals in the space of fifteen minutes of the first half to virtually end any chances of taking away points from their first match of the tournament.

Starting on the front foot in the first twenty minutes of the game, Karnataka, playing without their star players who are missing out due to their commitments to HASC in the I-League, gave away three consecutive goals -- all headers -- through three consecutive corners. The fourth goal, came late in the second half after the match had been put to bed in the first.

Karnataka now will look to get their campaign back on track when they face Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.
