Kootuhole drying, tanker ready to supply water

Speaking to presspersons after inspecting the Kootuhole reservoir, he said normally water level declines in April- May. As Galibeedu and surrounding region did not get rainfall in March and April, the water level has declined drastically in Kootuhole. With the region getting rain on Tuesday, there was inflow of water to Kootuhole.

Measures have been taken to supply water in tankers at Kannandabane, Pampinakere, Putani Nagara.

CMC Commissioner Shashikumar said the town requires 45 lakh gallon water daily.
With the completion of Kundamestri project, we may get 95 lakh gallon water, which will solve the water woes in the town.
