Guv's action evokes protest across district

The members took out a protest rally from the town BJP office passing through Gajanana circle, PCR Complex, Chelur circle and Bangalore circle to reach Tahasildar’s office.
They shouted slogans against Governor. The protesters said that Governor has misused the powers of his office by trying to destabilise the government which has majority.

Party Executive Committee member Sathyanarayana Mahesh addressing the protesters said the BJP government has scripted success stories in various fields which the previous governments fail to do so. When UPA government is appreciating the government’s works, why the Governor wants to destabilise the government, he wanted to know.

“Governor H R Bhardwaj who had been a Law Minister seems to be ignorant of the Constitutional provisions,” criticised Taluk unit president N Shankar.

They submitted a memorandum to tahsildar urging the president to recall the
Governor.

Governor Bhardwaj’s acts are against the Constitution. He seem to be biased, complained BJP leader Venkatesh.

Addressing protesters at Surajmal Circle in Robertsonpet here on Wednesday, he said creating indifference with the government seem to be the routine of Governor.

They burnt an effigy of the Governor. City Municipal Council member Ramesh and Krishnappa were present.

However, JD(S) taluk unit president Dhananjay Reddy was of the opinion that the BJP government which is facing series of allegations on it, must be dismissed and allegations of its irregularities must be handed over to CBI to know the truth, he added.

He was distributing bred and fruits as part of H D Deve Gowda’s birthday to the patients at the government hospital in Shidlaghatta.

People are upset with ‘Operation Lotus’ and this is the time to pull down the government, he observed.
