Motorcyclist killed
A tipsy motorcycle rider was killed on the spot as he rammed the two-wheeler he was riding into a car, near Nandi Hill station in Chikkaballapur taluk on Sunday. The deceased Prakash (30) was a resident of Lalbagh Dasarahalli near Hoskote. The pillion rider Harish has sustained injuries. Four people had come on two bikes to Nandi hill station to enjoy Sunday. According to eye-witnesses, the riders of both the bikes were inebriated and riding the two-wheelers with their hands off, when the accident occurred. Rural police have registered a case.
House burgled
Thieves barged into the residence of one Deepak Kumar at JP Nagar by breaking the door lock on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The family was out of Bangalore, when the burglars decamped a laptop and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
