<p>According to sources, Sugunamma (51), a home-maker, committed suicide, allegedly due to torture inflicted by the Viveknagar police on her sons.<br /><br />The police took her 21-year-old twin sons Jagannath and Jagadish into custody in connection with theft of laptops and cellphones. They were allegedly using a stolen SIM card. <br /><br />The police reportedly demanded Rs 50,000 bribe from Sugunamma to release her sons, causing her to end her life, sources added.<br /><br />However, the Viveknagar police denied torture or demand for bribes. They said no case of unnatural death was reported in Ejipura, which comes in their jurisdiction.<br /><br />When asked about the interrogation of Jagannath and Jagadish, the police refused to say anything.</p>
