He was speaking at a camp on science learning organised by the Committee for Development of Skills in Science at Schools’, at Einstein Auditorium, Department of Physics, Manasagangotri here.

The scientists can establish selves across the world, creating an identity of their own. They are eternal, the registrar said.

Saying that the students are forced to change track, only to fulfil their parents wishes, the registrar said they (parents) vie to admit their wards for either engineering or medical courses. Its due to the only feeling that their offsprings would soon be able to earn fat pay.

This denotes the selfishness among parents, that claims students actual areas of interest.
Taking a dig on medical course, the registrar said until he or she is fit enough to join the league of professionals, equipped with higher degrees, they would have spent half of their life on the same.

Forget patients, the doctors can’t even spend time with their families. Deputy Director of Public Instructions (DDPI) Nagendra Kumar highlighted that there is a fear factor among rural students, that has developed a hatred towards science, as a subject. It’s a juggernaut for them.

Chairman of the committee Prof P Venkataramaiah presided.
