HC directs CID to probe PGCET malpractice

 Hearing petitions by Sankeerth V and others, the students of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), whose results had been annulled following allegations of malpractice, Justice B S Patil directed the CID to investigate the matter stating that an indepth probe is required into the matter and has quashed the order to annul the results of the nine students. “ The matter requires serious investigation by CID by an officer of IGP cadre,” the court said.

The court fixed a deadline of  August 25, 2011 to submit the report with a directions to the respondent authorities to conduct fresh counselling for the nine students (who had been debarred from participating the counselling)  and make admission in accordance with law.

Fresh PGET counselling

Following the High Court order for fresh counselling in the Post Graduate Entrance Test for medical courses, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences has announced fresh counselling for in-service and entrance quota candidates from May 28 to May 30. The provisional allotment of seats made during the first round of counselling stands cancelled. Details  can be had from the website www.rguhs.ac.in.
