Woman, kids stage dharna against cops

Town Municipal member Bhagyamma, Reshma of Kasturi Karnataka Janapara vedike, and others also supported the cause and participated in the dharna.

The aggrieved woman told press persons that they had been married for the past 18 years and have two daughers. However, Ashok Kumar has been neglecting them since last two years. He is not willing to attend any ‘panchayat’ called by the village elders to resolve the matter.

Town Municipal member Bhagyamma said Ashok Kumar had deserted Lakshmi and two girl choldren to get married to somebody else.

Knowing about his preparations for the second wedding, a complaint was lodged to the police. But the cops failed to take any step to stop the second marriage.

She demanded action on against Ashok Kumar and provide suitable compensation to Lakshmi and her kids. Reshma of Kasturi Karnataka Janapara Vedike, Madhu Vasudevrao and others again lodged a complaint to the police.
