Students, accompanied by Principal Prashant Fernandes and Co-ordinator Ronald D’Souza, had the wonderful opportunity of getting the real feel of NASA during their 12-day stay in USA.

Entering the gates of NASA Space C, Houston, gave them a sense of fulfilment. The students spent four days there, learning a lot about space sciences, astronauts and their lives, performing various activities like virtual rocket launching, making rovers in Mars etc.

Students had the opportunity to interact with astronaut Scott who inspired them to realise their dreams.  Space Center Houston is a place where people can experience space — from its dramatic history and exciting present to its compelling future.

It is the only place on earth that gives guests an out-of-this-world journey through human adventures into space.  It’s unparalleled exhibits, attractions, special presentations and hands-on activities tell the story of NASA’s manned space flight programme. At Space Center Houston, guests can understand the past, experience the present, and be a part of the future of the space programme.

From NASA, Houston, the students’ next stop was Kennedy Space Center in Orlando. At Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, they got the unique chance to tour NASA’s launch and landing facilities, experience interactive simulators, enjoy live shows and have jaw-dropping encounters with massive rockets.

Not only was this an educational tour but also a fun-filled endeavour.  Apart from visiting NASA, they also took part in scuba diving and had the thrill of their life at the Disney World and the Universal Studios in Orlando.

Students also had the opportunity to visit the Statue of Liberty in New York. On the last leg of the tour, they visited the Niagara Falls  as well.
