A decision to this effect was taken today by the Confederation of Newspaper and News Agency Employees' Organisations (CNNAEO) after a meeting.

Besides the Labour ministry, agitators would demonstrate in front of INS (Indian Newspaper Society) to vent their "anger" against it for spreading "lies" against wage revision for journalists and non-journalists and working overtime to "influence" the government to deny much-needed wage hike for employees, CNNAEO General Secretary M S Yadav said.
Besides Yadav, IJU's Suresh Akhauri and Madan Singh, IFWJ's Parmanand Pandey, NUJI's Rajendra Prabhu and Manohar Singh, UNI's M L Joshi and PTI's Sanjay Sinha, Rajbir Singh and Ajay Tyagi attended the meeting.

The CNNAEO leaders threatened to intensify their agitation by organising stir across the country if the government did not promptly act in the interest of the news organisations workforce and notify the Majithia recommendations immediately.

"Many cabinet ministers whom we met shared our concerns over delay in notification of wage boards. AICC Treasurer Motilal Vohra had even assured us to convey the legitimate demands of the workers to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi...we fail to understand that despite expressing kind words what is preventing the government from notifying the reports," Yadav said
