Priyanka Sahu is the daughter of Prabhunath Sahu, a mason who migrated to the city from Bihar a few years ago.
Her family did not even have the resources to provide her with all the books she needed for studies. Yet, Priyanka passed the examinations securing 91.6 per cent marks. She managed to bag 99 per cent marks in maths.
Priyanka, from Siwan in Bihar, has set her eyes on civil services, wants to become an IAS officer.
“I find it difficult to pay the school fee as I am always in debt,” a visibly elated Prabhunath said.
Priayanka, however, would not face any difficulty in pursuing her studies, at least till intermediate. Her school has decided to waive the tuition fee and giving a laptop.
