But unlike other places, you find all kinds of food here – right from snacks to a full meal. The best part of it all is that you can relish all kinds of dishes without bothering about spending too much on them. Started by B S Poojary and Shekhar, this small joint caters to a large section of the people – be it college-goers, professionals and families. Says Uday Kumar, the manager, “When this place first started in 1993, there were only college students who used to frequent this place. But now we have working people and young adults.”

Look at the menu and you will be spoilt for choices with what they have to offer. You can have a whole course meal starting with soups and snacks. The ‘Mexican soup pot’ is especially delicious and has salami, chicken and boiled vegetable. And for vegetarians, ‘Babycorn soup’ or the ‘cream of tomato’ is a must try. For snacks and salads, there is ‘fried onion rings’ or ‘chilli vegetable’ and different types of salads in chicken, salami, potato served with garlic bread. If you want a more filling snack, pizza is the best bet and it comes in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian varieties. In the vegetarian options, one should try the Capsico which has capsicum and red chilli dripping in cheese and tangy tomato sauce. For non-vegetarians, the ‘C-3’ is best as it has chicken, capsicum with meat sauce and cheese.

But this place is best known for the burgers which are served with french fries, salad and mayonnaise sauce. A chicken burger or the lamb burger  is filling.  Another must try burger is the ‘Gold Red Burger’ which has a fresh grilled bun topped with cold chicken, salad, salami and oodles of cheese. Says Uday, “These are one among the fastest selling items on the menu because they are filling and make for an ideal meal.” Fritters are another one of the favourites. They are freshly prepared pancakes stuffed with cheese and sauce coupled with mashed potatoes and salad.

The specialities of the restaurant include ‘Chicken Alexandria’, which has chicken and mushroom pieces served with parsley and mashed potatoes. If this is not enough there are even the Chinese dishes like fried rice and noodles on offer and also different flavoured milk shakes and ice creams. Regulars such as Floyd Santimano and Saveen Sadanand, vouch for the taste and price of this place. Says Saveen, “I have been coming here for the last ten years and I don’t even have to look at the menu.
