Speaking to the media persons on Saturday, Pasha claimed cinema as powerful medium over the theatre. It is not true that there is dearth of good movies.
The intention of ‘Belli Mandala’ is to make the movies with good taste to reach the people, he said.
He informed that the Chalanachitra Academy has imparted training to write cinema stories with new themes. The trainees have framed 23 stories.
By introducing cinema script/story writing as a subject in the college, it is possible to generate more number of young story writers, he said.
He also informed of bringing DVDs of good quality movies. Belli Mandala will make it possible for the interested people to watch the good movies by providing them DVDs. “The Film Academy is working on par with theatre with activities. An international film fest will be jointly organised by the Film Academy and Suchithra Film Society,” he said.
Meanwhile, he asked the people to take the membership of Belli Mandala.
