JOIN USSpeaking to media persons on the completion of 25 days of screening of the movie across five theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, he said Tulu movie has the potential to compete with other film industries.
“There was a notion among the people that Tulu movie can not run successfully in the theatre and can not compete with the sandalwood. However, ‘Oriyardori Asal’ has proved all notions wrong,” he added.
Director of the movie Vijay Kumar Kodialbail said “On the 50th day, Oriyardori Asal movie team will felicitate all the directors and producers of 43 Tulu movies at Town Hall.” He said that ‘Oriyardori Asal’ movie team members will be felicitated in another programme soon.
He said that on the 100th day of screening of the movie, he will announce the name of his upcoming movie.
Shooting for the next movie will commence from November. After the 50th day of screening the movie, free screening will be organised for the students of special school or ashrams of Dakshina Kannada. Kodialbail said ‘Oriyardori Asal’ will hit the theatres in Mumbai from August 15.
The movie will also be released in Bahrain, Muscat, Dubai, Kuwait and Qatar in the month of September.
The movie will be released in Bangalore next month, he added.
