Protest by DSS members in Mandya

Members of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (DSS) stages a protest demanding opening of a students hostel in Mandya on Sunday. The leaders said their objective of staging a stir is to lay stress on the government to prevent corruption and also solve the problems related to groupism and also improve the economic empowerment of the people, in view of the Independence day to be celebrated on Monday.

They also put forth various demands including separate graveyards for the dalits in all the villages and also hike students scholarships in accordance with the rise in inflation. DSS Kempaiah Sagya, Ramananda Tarikere, Devaraja Jakkanahallila, C Kalaraju and others participated in the protest.
