The 36-year-old actress, who was last seen in 'Dostana' doing a chic item number, has been busy in shooting and has gone bald for the flick which is an Indo-Chinese collaboration.
"...landed in the country two days ago only to leave again today for New York for the film festival for my new movie," Shetty posted on Twitter.
Directed by R Sarath, the film revolves around Shetty, a dancer who later turns into a monk. She is paired opposite the Chinese star Xia Yu.
"'The Desire, Journey of a woman' has been selectd for NY film fest. Will be walking the red carpet on the 18th but film showing on the 22 and 24th," she tweeted.
