Dengue toll rises to 24 in Odisha

The fresh casualty was reported from a private hospital in the state capital. The victim belonged to Angul. Of the 24 victims, 19 alone were from the coal belt in Angul, while the rest are from Bolangir, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Jharsuguda and Deogarh districts each. Till today, out of total 2,521 samples tested, 912 have been found positive. The virus has spread in 22 of the state, health officials said.
