A motorist was killed on the spot in a head-on collision between his two-wheeler and a truck near Padma Ghatta village on National Highway 4 in the taluk.
The dead has been identified as Shahbaz (30), a resident of Mulbagal.
The accident occurred when he was returning home from Nangali village.
