Legal fraternity flays Delhi blast

Organisations demand action against terrorists

The advocates responding to the State Bar Association directions boycotted the court hearing to express their contempt against the terror activities.

In Kadur too lawyers in large numbers boycotted the hearing as per the call given by the District Bar Association and opposed the blast. They later handed over a memorandum to the Tahshildar condemning such activities and demanding stern action against the outfits resorting to acts of terror.

They said thought certain individuals have been given death sentence by the Apex Court, the central government is not taking a call on the same because of the pressure from some organisations and political leaders.

“This attitude of the centre is fuelling such acts of terrors,” the protesters said and lamented over the action of MLAs in Tamilnadu who are trying to withhold the execution of assassinators of Rajiv Gandhi and called it to be unconstitutional.

They opined that since the court is taking stern stand against terrorists and corrupt persons, the terrorists targeted the court premises in Delhi.

Condemned

JD(S) Minority Cell District President Akbar Ahmed has condemned the Delhi terror attack and said that the incident reflects the security lapses and failure of the central government.

He said that the centre should stop its lethargic behavior and should take stern action against the terrorists.

ABVP opposes

ABVP activists in Sringeri have condemned the Delhi attack and have held Central Home Ministry responsible for the same.

“It is due to the failure of the Home Ministry that such incidents have been happening in row. The centre is nurturing terrorists like Afzal Guru and Kasab. Hanging these terrorist is the only answer for these attacks,” the release from ABVP said.
