Leopard prefers goat to dog!

Interestingly, the leopard didn’t care much for the dog kept as bait in the cage by the forest department officials. Instead, when they replaced it with a goat, the leopard is said to have fallen for the trap.

The five-year-old male leopard had created fear among villagers in Mallipattana Hobli in the taluk for the last two weeks.

The wild cat would be transferred to Kempu Hole Forest in Sakleshpur taluk.

Forest officers Hanumantharayappa, Devaraj, Puneethkumar, Manjegowda, Manju and Annaiya participated in the operation to capture the leopard.
