The celebrations are organised to mark the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of late artist Dr K K Hebbar.

He never emphasised on exaggeration or richness, instead he echoed the portrayal of layman in his line drawings. He was always humble for attaining superiority in his art. K K Hebbar was against recognition and fame,” he added.

As many as 24 artists, nine from Mangalore and 15 from Udupi showcased their artistic paintings as a mark of respect to K K Hebbar on the occasion. The paintings included abstract paintings, line drawings and oil paintings. The paintings will be displayed in the Karantha Kalagrama.
