Signal lights at Shidlaghatta Circle are not working since six months, no systematic parking in B R Road is causing problems to people for some years now, there are no bus stations at Bagepalli, Gudibande, Gauribidanur, there is no plan for disposal of waste.
Though Rs 30 lakh scam regarding road and drain work has come into fore, no action has been taken yet.

The residents allege that the CMC members do not respond to these problems.

Residents angry
The residents, especially the associations who staged protests and took out processions, blocked the roads to tell the officers about the bad condition of the city and need for immediate action are disappointed. The residents expressed anger over the irresponsibility of people’s representatives for indiffernece to any kind of protests.

Submitting memorandum has become usual, so no one even bothers to read them. We have no hope left the residents said.

Voluntary work
Tired of submitting memorandums about the pollution, the youths of Yaluvalli voluntarily cleaned the place in a sanitation drive.

“Even this did not deter the CMC. Thus there is no point in still hoping that everything will be all right” laments Ramesh Babu, who works in a private company.

Mum over scam
“Even the construction work carried out till now is of substandard quality.
In some places the work is just half done. The scam of Rs 30 lakh also could not move the CMC officers. No one has inspected nor has probed into the matter” says Sumangala, a resident.

Eye wash
It was alleged that a part of Sir M Vishveshwaraiah District Stadium has been encroached by a temple.

When the issue rose, the police immediately inspected the spot and it was projected as if the temple will be destroyed. But after the inspection no one has visited the place again and no action has been taken.

Meanwhile, the temple authorities have also built a compound wall on the encroached land, say the sportspersons speaking to the Deccan Herald.
