Noble gesture: Villagers themselves dismantle temples

The temples had been constructed one decade back on the Bangalore-Mangalore national highway.

As the temples occupying 30 guntas of revenue land in survey number 51 has been evicted, the residents have urged the government to grant two guntas of land to each of the two temples.

They have also asked the deputy commissioner to take steps to widen the highway in the village as the required land was now available.
