Sriramulu may withdraw resignation

Sources said the party is of the view that with Janardhana Reddy’s arrest, the Bellary unit of the party is already demoralised. If Sriramulu quits, the party may further suffer.

Sriramulu, being a close associate and one-time business partner of Reddy, is under the CBI scanner. For his own good, it would be better for him to be an MLA rather than a former MLA at this juncture, it is said.

The Speaker has not acted on Sriramulu’s resignation letter submitted 22 days ago and has also not given any reason for doing so. A section of the BJP senior leaders have spoken to the MLA to reconsider his decision.
