To celebrate the launch, the channel will present a best of series featuring 27 episodes from Letterman’s just-aired season.The A-list line-up includes Julia Roberts (August 19), Zac Efron (August 20), Beyonce (August 25), Dolly Parton (August 28), Tom Hanks (September 3) and Denzel Washington (September 11). The all-new 17th season of Late Show with David Letterman debuts on September 24 on Star World. Since launching his show in 1992, host David Letterman has reigned as the undisputed champion of chat shows. When the 2009 Emmy nominees were announced, Late Show with David Letterman scored in five categories, including Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series. Late Show took home this Emmy for its first season and then for five consecutive years from 1998.

Over the years, Letterman has interviewed the biggest names in film, television, politics and sport. With his signature Top 10 List, hidden-camera pranks, surprise guest appearances and irreverent humour, he helped reinvent the talk-show format.The programme will be repeated Monday to Friday at 8 am.
