JOIN USMounts pull off a thrilling victory
Vinay (17) and Nitin (12) spurred Blues to a 25-16 lead at half time. Ashwal (18) and Dev (18) staged an amazing recovery for Mounts, who scored 12 and 18 points in the second and third quarters alone, to have the scores level at 46-46 at full time. Mounts pulled ahead in extra time with eleven points while Blues could only muster six.
In another match, Adeel found the hoop with ease as he top-scored for Ambedkar Basketball Club with 22 points in their 67-37 win over DRDO. Vignesh scored a team-high 20 points for DRDO but his efforts fell short.
Falcon, Bharath, BCBC and Appaiah Basketball Club did not turn up for the tournament in the boys’ category while National Games Village, YMMA, Bharath Sports Union and Appaiah BC were no-shows in the girls’ section. All the teams have consequently been eliminated from the competition.
