Mishra, who is DIG (fire services), was suffering from “bipolar effective disorder”, according to police.
On Tuesday, the doctors attending on him said Mishra was showing signs of improvement.
“He will have to visit the psychiatry department for some tests,” they said.
Mishra, last week, had refused to leave his office and was forcibly dumped into a mental asylum. The senior cop had alleged that large scale financial irregularities had taken place in the purchase of fire tenders.
