Dempo take on Lajong

Dempo have done wonderfully well so far this season in the I-League. They beat Pune FC 3-1 in their last match to remain unbeaten at the top of the table with 18 points from six matches.

Never before has Dempo got off to such a perfect start and coach Armando Colaco wants to field the same side that beat Pune FC, but warned his boys not to lose focus and instead concentrate on winning the game against Lajong, who bounced back to win against Pailan Arrows after three straight defeats.

Shillong Lajong, who scored a hard-fought 1-0 win over Pailan Arrows, have moved to eight place, above Salgaocar and Pune FC, with eight points from six matches and would be keen to upset Dempo’s unbeaten run.

In other matches on Wednesday, Mumbai FC will face in-form side Sporting Clube De Goa at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune while Prayag United and Mohun Bagan take on each other at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata in the late kickoff.
