Leading handsomely by 19 points (37-18) at half-time, SAI boys hardly let the momentum slip to storm into the semifinal league stage. Abishek was ably supported by Mayur Bhatt, who basketed 17 points, to help Hostelers register a stunning victory.

Joining SAI in the last-four league stage were Rangers, Mysore and Kanaka, Kolar. Rangers had to dig deep to edge out Indiranagar Basketball Club 51-47, while Kanaka eased past Young Orions Sports Club 52-44. In the girls’ section, Sports Hostel, Mysore, and Jayanagar Sports Club made it to semifinal league with easy wins.
