Shetty, Tarun bowl B'lore City to facile 7-wicket win

At the IAF grounds, Bangalore City XI clinched the low-scoring affair with some degree of ease, thanks to their bowlers.

Shetty took five for 76 in the first innings as Mofussil were bowled out for 156. With Tejas A Wagle (51) and K Goutham (57) making half-centuries, City XI opened up a narrow 26-run lead, Md Sarfraz Ashraf taking seven for 72.

Mofussil collapsed dramatically in the second innings as Muthanna picked up five for 16, and declared at 67 for nine for an overall lead of 41. City XI raced to 45 for three in the 11th over to pick up five points.

Elsewhere, in a high-scoring match, Mofussil XI split points with Bangalore Zone XI after their match ended in a stalemate. In reply to Mofussil XI’s 434 for five in 90 overs, Bangalore Zone finished with 424 for eight in 90 overs.
