M Darshan, aged four years s/o Mariyappa, a resident of Kurubarahalli, is being treated at Medikeri’s Super Speciality Centre for a hearing impairment.
He has been advised to undergo cochlear implantation surgery to develop his speech and hearing abilities. The surgery along with an auditory verbal habilitation is estimated to cost Rs seven lakh.
