Legal experts on Tuesday said that the decision of the Army chief to approach the Supreme Court at the fag end of his career for declaring his date of birth as May 10, 1951 would go against him.
In a petition, General V K Singh had challenged the defence ministry decision to treat his date of birth as May 10, 1950 as given in the Army’s official records.
“I don’t agree with the Army chief’s decision. ” former Chief Justice of Delhi HC Rajinder Sachar said.
